Can I connect multiple calendars to my Hugo account?

Hugo supports multiple calendars in the same email account. You can prepare and take notes for meetings across all the calendars (including shared) associated with your email account.

Head to Settings > Profile to see and enable your calendars.

Note:

  • This does not support connecting to multiple email accounts within the same Hugo account.
  • Only meetings that have you as an attendee will show up in your My Meetings list.

Why does Hugo require access to my calendar?

Access to your calendar allows Hugo to load your meetings as well as identifying the attendees and companies. Everything is automatically organized for you so you can easily to find past notes when you need them. Just search for a meeting, contact or company and you can see what you discussed the last time you met 👍.

What calendars does Hugo support?

Hugo supports companies and teams using Google G-Suite or Microsoft Office 365 to power their email and calendar.

Why are my meetings missing?

There are a number of common reasons for missing meetings. All are easily resolved! Here is a list of solutions you can implement.

What happens to someone's notes when they leave the company?

Data contributed by the deleted user (such as the notes along with the Contacts and Companies) is still retained and accessible within your Hugo team. That deleted user can no longer access your Hugo team.

How does Hugo integrate with our workflow?

Hugo syncs with your Google Calendar to automatically prompt you for a note for each meeting. Hugo's action integrations enable you to create work straight from a meeting note and send any insights to your CRM. Hugo also shares meeting notes with the team using Slack, encouraging team conversation.

Are my notes private? Are they safe?

While it's usually valuable to make meeting insights accessible to the team, sometimes notes are private. Each time you save a note, you can change who the note is accessible by and the Slack channels in which it is shared.

We invest heavily in state of the art security and privacy infrastructure, ensuring that your data is behind firewalls, encrypted and only accessible to your team (and members of your team based on the permissions you set). We are also GDPR compliant and Privacy Shield certified. You can read more about our security processes and infrastructure in our Security Center.

How do I add more users/teammates?

Once your Hugo account is ready, simply click on your profile picture and use the Invite Teammates action. Hugo will automatically scan your calendar for other people in your company that you usually meet with and suggest them to you.

Who can I share my meeting notes with?

You can share meeting notes with anyone. That includes people both inside and external to your organization, as well as other Hugo users at your company.

Beyond sharing, there are many additional benefits if your team members are Hugo users too. If you want to collaborate on meeting notes for example or be able to @mention team members in notes, they will need to be Hugo users.

What makes Hugo different from other note-taking apps?

Hugo uses your calendar as a source of truth for who you and your team are meeting. Instead of using a system of folders like other note apps, Hugo stores your notes against the people attending your meetings and the companies that they work for.

Hugo doesn't replace your existing tools. The value of Hugo is that it connects all the tools your team is already using for meeting process. For meeting notes, Hugo improves on your generic, personal note-taking tool or notebook. It also complements department-specific solutions like your CRM. Hugo is better at ensuring meeting information breaks through silos and information actually gets actioned. Right in the apps used by different departments in your business.

With a deep bench of third party integrations, Hugo works with the rest of your software stack so that information from meetings is pushed out everywhere.

You don't have an integration I need. Will Hugo still work?

Absolutely. Hugo makes your meeting notes shareable, accessible and searchable without integrations. Having said that our Zapier integration means you can connect Hugo to 1,000+ other apps, even if we don't support a direct integration. You can learn more here or request an integration.
