Task Notifications
There are three types of task notifications that Hugo will send.
- Tasks assigned to you
- Tasks assigned by you is completed
- Task Due
You can also select which channel (Slack or Email) you'd like to receive the notification.
Tasks assigned to me
This will notify you that another User has assigned a task to you in a document that they have saved.
Tasks assigned by you is completed
Notifies you that the User has completed a task you assigned them.
Task Due
Notifies you that a task you have been assigned is due. You can trigger this to reminder you:
- 1, 2 or 3 hours before it's due
- 1, 2 or 3 days before it's due
- 1 week before it's due
If your team is distributed, you will be glad to know that Hugo has multi-time zone support for tasks, as we store all task due dates/times in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
When the due date/time is set for a task, the users' local timezone is converted into its UTC value. Therefore if a task is assigned to a user in another timezone, the due date/time is static.
E.g If you assign a task to a user in another timezone, due on the 30th at 8:00 am... If you're in San Francisco and the assignee is in London, the task is due at 08:00 in San Francisco and at 16:00 in London.
