Common causes for errors:

Incorrect/invalid API key

  • The API key copied in to your Hugo account needs to be an exact copy of a valid API key from your Freshdesk account.
  • See here for instructions on how to locate/generate a Freshdesk API key
  • Paste that key to your Freshdesk credentials in Hugo.

Incorrect/invalid domain address:

  • The domain address copied in to your Hugo account, to accompany your API key, must match the domain address used for your Freshdesk account.
  • Paste that key to your Freshdesk credentials in Hugo.

Freshdesk FAQ:

If I delete a Hugo note, what happens to the tickets sent to Freshdesk?

  • Hugo will not delete any data from your Freshdesk account, it will only send tickets to Freshdesk from your Hugo notes.
  • Therefore tickets will remain in Freshdesk even if the note that created them has been deleted from Hugo.
