Using Slack with Hugo

Slack is a real-time messaging and communication platform for teams, while Hugo provides teams with a common platform to save and share meeting insights.

Teams who successfully use both tools rely on Slack for instant communication, and Hugo for managing their meetings - from setting agendas in advance, to capturing notes in the meeting and then sharing those notes with the right people and the tools they use every day.

With the Slack for Hugo integration, you can post your notes to channels and group messages to seamlessly share insights and update teammates in real-time. When those notes are sent to Slack, team discussion will sync between Slack and Hugo via the threads feature.

There are several features in this integration to help your team push meeting insights to their teammates, while also making sure those insights are stored in a way that it’s easy to find later on! Users can also have their Hugo notifications sent to Slack to reduce email clutter.

From within Hugo you can:

  • Post Hugo notes to Slack
  • Sync note comments between Hugo and Slack via threads
  • Receive Hugo notifications in Slack
  • Save Hugo notes directly from Slack notifications

Additional features:

  • For each Hugo note posted to Slack, a link back to the notes will be included so that teammates have jump between products in one click
